About the Event

Across Appalachia, the strength of our schools is deeply connected to the strength of our businesses, nonprofits, civic institutions, and neighborhoods. Workforce development, economic mobility, public policy, arts and culture, and community health all intersect with education. When one thrives, the others do too. At Teach For America Appalachia, we believe education is part of a larger ecosystem. The decisions made in boardrooms, city halls, small businesses, community centers, and philanthropic spaces directly shape the opportunities available to young people. This means that partnership is not optional — it is essential. The Future of Possibilities Conference is an invitation for leaders across sectors in Central Appalachia to gather, collaborate, and imagine what becomes possible when we align our efforts around expanding opportunity. This is a space for business leaders, nonprofit partners, educators, civic officials, and community advocates to connect around a shared vision for Appalachia’s future.
