Debra Aho Williamson has a history of being at the forefront of emerging digital marketing trends. She wrote about the birth of online marketing as editor of Advertising Age’s pioneering Interactive Media and Marketing section; she chronicled the dotcom boom of the late 1990s as executive editor of The Industry Standard; and at eMarketer, she was one of the first analysts to research social media marketing and advertising. She has written more than 50 reports about social media since 2006 and is regularly quoted for her expertise in major business press. Debra is a graduate of Northwestern University, double majoring in English literature and oboe performance. While she no longer plays the oboe, she still counts Joseph Conrad as one of her all-time favorite authors.
