Attendees will review the NAEYC Position Statement on Advancing Equity in Early Childhood Education and discuss implications for the Early Childhood Classroom. What does it look like in a Head Start Classroom for all children to have equitable learning opportunities that enable them to achieve their full potential? Answering this question is the purpose of this NAEYC Position Statement. This Position Statement has recommendations for Early Childhood Educators, Administrators, Educator Preparation Programs and Professional Development Facilitators, and Public Policy Makers.
