Kenn Ross is currently Managing Director, Asia for the Minerva Schools at KGI, a reimagined university experience for the world's brightest, most motivated students. In this role, Kenn oversees all of Minerva's activities in the region. Kenn is also Founder of the International Foundation for the Promotion of Academic Soft Skills (IFPASS), a US-based nonprofit. Prior to Minerva, Kenn was Founder and CEO of InLight Education, a platform providing non-cognitive skills-based and experiential education in China. He is a popular figure on Asia TV (CCTV, China Business Network, ICS, Bloomberg) and has been interviewed by dozens of Asian online and print media (The Straights Times, Sina, Netease), where he speaks and provides commentary on issues involving international education. He is also a regular keynote speaker at prominent events including TEDx and numerous global education forums. Prior to this, Kenn held executive positions in Fortune 30 and mid-sized multinational companies in the clean energy, technology, and consulting industries. Originally from the United States, Kenn has lived in Asia for over 20 years and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He is a graduate of Middlebury College, the Johns Hopkins-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies, and Harvard Business School. In addition to education, some of his other passions include flying private aircraft, scuba diving, and international travel.
