Bill Johnson

Entering his 30th year in the Information Technology (IT) industry, Bill is Director of Information Systems for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. Over the period of that 30 years Bill has seen the growth of the industry and been involved with implementation of all aspects of business systems. He has spent the past ten years in IT management including the last six at Pine Rest. The focus at Pine Rest has been to build stable, resilient and secure systems to support the organization’s mission and works with business stakeholders to provide solutions and applications to assist in the delivery of quality health based outcomes. The last three years have been spent implementing a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to coincide with the roll out of an enterprise wide Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Bill holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Healthcare and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Information Systems and is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO) following meeting the requirements established by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). For leisure, Bill is an adult onset endurance athlete and has completed five half marathons, a full marathon and is training for his first triathlon.
