Differentiated Instructional Strategies in International Schools
Come learn from THE expert in differentiated instruction: Carol Ann Tomlinson! You will dive into five key classroom elements that need to work together to address students’ varied learning needs: learning environment, quality curriculum, formative assessment, instructional strategies, and classroom leadership/management.
1. Develop a framework for thinking about quality differentiation
2. Increase understanding of quality classroom practice in regard to learning environment, curriculum, formative assessment, responsive instruction, and classroom management
3. Increase competence and confidence in planning for differentiation
4. Assist participants with instructional planing that incorporates several instructional strategies to address learner variance in their classroom(s)
PLEASE REGISTER A TEAM of practitioners, to ensure higher rates of adoption (and therefore, positive impact on students) in your school. A team is your most effective lever of change, whether a dedicated team for learning support, or passionate practitioners who are influential across your community. We are more than happy to welcome individual practitioners as well, and will look to integrate individuals with groups, so as to create a small community of practice, to whom they can return for assistance post-conference.
