A call for Malaysian travel tech and related startups!
Jason Lusk is the program lead at MIST (Mekong Innovative Startup Tourism) that aims to harness one of the Mekong region’s strengths (tourism) as a potential engine for accelerated business development.
Join him for an opportunity at MIST, a joint venture of the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office and the Mekong Business Initiative. It is a development initiative designed to spur innovation and create jobs.
MIST has two acceleration tracks; One focuses on early-stage tourism startups already based in Greater Mekong Subregion. The other welcomes mature businesses based elsewhere that wish to expand into the Mekong.
Who should come?
Travel tech startups with a vision to expand to Mekong region market.
Women entrepreneurs are especially encouraged to apply as encouraging women entrepreneurship is one of the primary goals of MBI but no gender was set as being a formal criterion.
Entries are accepted from travel tech startups with ideas pertaining to the Mekong region, tourism businesses with proven models, and entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas.
Graduates of both acceleration tracks will receive individualized support including matchmaking, assistance entering global accelerators and coaching from Mekong Business Initiative and the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office experts without any equity demanded.
