Information Technology Scholarship
The Society for Information Management St. Louis Chapter (SIM-St. Louis), in association with the Gateway to Innovation Conference, is pleased to offer six scholarships for students pursuing studies in the Information Technology field.
SIM-St. Louis will award six $2,000 scholarships. Scholarship application deadline is April 2, 2018.
These scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors in the St. Louis region who exhibit potential in Information Technology and will be enrolling for an Information Technology related degree at a college or university in the St. Louis region for the 2018-19 school year.
The missions of SIM-St. Louis and Gateway to Innovation focus on continued development and collaboration for IT leaders as well as supporting the local community.
Scholarship Information
Available to high school seniors in the St. Louis region planning to attend one of the following schools:
• Fontbonne University
• Harris Stowe State University
• Lindenwood University
• Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla
• Saint Louis University
• Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau
• Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
• St. Charles Community College
• St. Louis Community College
• University of Missouri-Columbia
• University of Missouri-St. Louis
• Washington University
• Webster University
Eligible students must be planning to purse a Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Systems or other Information Technology related degree. Scholarships are one-time awards.
Scholarships will be deposited in the winning students’ University accounts.
Application Materials
• Name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
• A personal statement describing your interest in Information Technology. Maximum 500 words. Topics of consideration could be areas you have demonstrated key qualities of leadership, initiative, collaboration, community service, academic performance, or clarity in career goals.
• Unofficial high school transcript showing courses taken, grades, and current GPA.
• A reference letter from a member of your school faculty, (preferably a statement from a computer science, mathematics, or science teacher) or a mentor of an extracurricular group.
• Send one compressed file (.zip) containing all Application Materials listed above to scholarships@g2iconference.com
