ABOUT THE EVENT
In the lead up to the second Global Entrepreneurship Community conference, we are bringing industry experts and ecosystem players for sharing sessions and discussions on innovation, global community engagement and emerging trends.
Join Rekha Pai, a key member of the New Business Incubation group at Juniper Network, in this session as she will be sharing insights on the current state of Tech Innovation and the impact on all aspects of our lives, across the globe, including examples where tech has created social impact by creating opportunities and solutions for underserved communities everywhere such as in the fields of health, education, jobs, government/civic engagement and, financial inclusion/literacy.
In the second part of the talk, she will be sharing on the Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem - the how, and why entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and the startup ecosystem in the Silicon Valley works. Rekha will also share an overview of risk capital landscape - including angel investing, MicroVCs, crowdsourced equity models and Venture Capitals.

Rekha Pai Kamath
Member Board of Directors at Fast Forward, New Business Incubation at Juniper Networks
Rekha Pai Kamath serves on the board of Fast Forward, an Accelerator for Tech Non-profits based in San Francisco, and is part of the leadership team at Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs. She has 15+ years in various product management, marketing, and product development positions at companies such as Juniper Networks, Symantec Corp, Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems, and Procket Networks (acquired by Cisco).
Rekha has been a professional mentor and Impact Advisor, as well as been on the selection committee for past five years for Techwomen (www.techwomen.org), a US Department of State Initiative that seeks to connect global women leaders in technology with those in Silicon Valley. She is an investor, mentor, and advisor to several start-ups at Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs (SA&E) as well previously at StartX. She holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business
