Michael P. Lyons is executive vice president and head of Corporate & Institutional Banking and Asset Management Group for The PNC Financial Services Group. He is responsible for leading all of PNC’s corporate and institutional financing, treasury management, debt capital markets, advisory, international services, wealth management and institutional investments activities. Lyons joined PNC in October 2011 as head of Corporate & Institutional Banking. He added responsibilities as head of Asset Management Group in January 2018. Before joining PNC, Lyons served as global head of corporate development and strategic planning for Bank of America. In that role he was primarily responsible for repositioning Bank of America's balance sheet to help the company focus on its core businesses and growth strategy. He was also responsible for mergers and acquisitions, the private equity business, the LaSalle trust and custody business, investor relations and the bank’s strategic partnership and investment in China Construction Bank. Previously, he served as a portfolio manager at investment advisor Maverick Capital. Prior to Maverick, Lyons worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, where he focused on financial institutions. Lyons is a national trustee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and serves on the investment committee. In addition, he serves on the board of directors for the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and is on the management committee for Early Warning Systems, LLC. Lyons graduated from the University of Pennsylvania magna cum laude in 1993.
