Regina Brown joined the San Diego International Airport Authority in September 2015 as the Manager of Small Business Development. Regina oversees the SBD team, and serves as the Authority’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Liaison Officer. Regina has a passion for “Inclusion and Diversity” and believes that small businesses are our future. Regina is the former Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus Political Institute. She has over 20 years of experience in Management, Human Resources Services, Business and Organizational Development. In addition to her accomplishments in Business Development, Regina has developed a website that assists military spouses with self-development, she is an active member of the Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce, she resides on the AMAC (Airport Minority Advisory Council) Foundation Board where she focuses on the Professional Development of Minorities in the aviation industry, she resides on the ACI (Airport Council International) Diversity Committee, she is a Graduate of the LEAD Impact SD Class of 2018, She is an active member of SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management), She resides on several local Military boards; to include: Co- Chair for CORE (Continuum of Resources Education), and HSM-49 Officer Spouses Club Advisor. Regina is the former President of HOSC (Helicopter Officers Spouses Club), and Vice President of NOSC (Naval Officers Spouses Club). Regina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Masters in Human Resources Management. Regina is passionate about helping businesses make the most of their resources and talents, and believes that customers and GOOD customer service are vital to any business that intends to grow. Regina is a native of the Washington DC/Metro area, but relocated to San Diego six years ago with her husband Captain Bobby Brown and daughter Nyla.
