Wendy Lee co-leads the development of Kaiser Permanente’s consumer digital strategy and is working closely with innovators inside and outside the organization—including several Silicon Valley tech leaders—to develop technologies, products, and services that will improve the total health of Kaiser Permanente members. Currently she leads a diverse set of teams that provide technology services and solutions for and maintains many of KP’s internal and member-facing digital, mobile, and social capabilities, including kp.org. In addition, these teams are responsible for the technology systems that support key national functions, including Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Research, Government Relations, and Community Benefit. Lee’s commitment to diversity and championing of the interests of Kaiser Permanente’s employees contribute to the organization’s top ranking in Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT and help make KP one of the top companies for diversity. Lee serves on Kaiser Permanente’s National Supplier Diversity Council, which oversees the commitment to minority business development, the organization’s minority purchases, and sponsorships of minority programs. She also serves as a sponsor of the organization’s millennial and veterans’ programs. Lee has also been named as among the Most Powerful Women in Technology by the National Diversity Council which recognizes prominent leaders in the industry who have reached the top of their profession by driving innovation and inspiring others to succeed while contributing to business growth.
