About Teach For America - Dallas Fort Worth
A community-wide effort is building to improve the present reality for students attending public school in Dallas-Fort Worth. By relentlessly pursuing what is best for kids, our corps members and alumni are working with local partners to blaze a trail for lasting change for all students in DFW.
In 2009, TFA DFW launched with 90 charter corps members. We developed regional partnerships and achieved strong initial results.
Today, we are 1,300+ strong, with 629 teachers, 339 community leaders, 159 social leaders, 4 public leaders, and 178 education leaders. Of our alumni in DFW, we are proud that 74% work in mission-aligned roles.
Over 10 years, TFA DFW has impacted more than 400,000 students and 3,400 classrooms.
