Holistic Care for TGNC People: Updates on Social, Medical, and Trauma-Informed Care Continuum
Howard Brown Health’s Center for Education, Research and Advocacy (ERA) is proud to announce the 2019-2020 gender affirming learning series, Holistic Care for TGNC People: Updates on Social, Medical, and Trauma-informed Care Continuum.
This series aims to make space for ongoing discussion on key topics in gender-affirming care, such as surgical navigation, developing trauma-informed systems of care, and increasing access to gender-affirming care. To achieve this end, ERA planned a schedule of events, consisting of two webinars and a half-day seminar, which will serve as an introduction to the 2020 Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium (MLHS) to be held September 16-17, 2020 at Malcolm X College, Chicago, IL.
The goal of the learning series and the 2020 MLHS is to provide LGBTQ affirming standards of care and influence multidisciplinary health care professionals’ best practices. ERA values intersectional care that includes public health and social justice-centered frameworks, which inform our theme for 2020, “Being Healthy is a Radical Act.” To stay connected about future ERA updates and events, please sign up for our mailing list.
