LEAD 2019
July 18 - 21, 2019
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Teach For America’s flagship leadership development summit for early admitted corps members.
LEAD 2019 BEGINS
ABOUT THE EVENT
No matter where you are in your decision to join the corps, if you want to learn more about TFA, strengthen your leadership skills, and build relationships with other 2020 corps members, alumni, and staff, LEAD 2019 is for you.
IMMERSIVE LEADERSHIP THAT FITS
WHAT IT IS: The LEAD Summit is a unique learning experience for early admitted corps members designed to give you an up-close look at what your two years in the corps could look like. Throughout the course of the summit, you’ll learn more about who we are, where your leadership fits in our movement, what we believe, how you’ll develop as a teacher, and opportunities you’ll have as an alumni leader in our collective movement to address educational inequity. Check out highlights from last year's leadership summit.
WHAT TO EXPECT: During this three-day summer experience, you’ll gain a better understanding of your potential for impact in the classroom and understand the movement you are joining by participating in workshops, group activities, and networking opportunities with alumni, and engage in classroom visits at Institute.
The LEAD summit will convene in alignment with the Philadelphia National Institute from July 18-21 and take place in a mix of locations—localschools, communities, and in other fun spaces in the surrounding Philadelphia area. Food, lodging, and travel expenses will be covered by Teach For America.
