On Sunday, March 15, 2020, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in accordance with its guidance for large events and mass gatherings, recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers (both groups and individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.
In light of current events, and after much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all Cork & Cuisine Experience events scheduled from April 16-18, 2020 and to host the inaugural event April 15-17, 2021. Given the commitments of our vintners, auctioneer, venues, and hosts, it is not possible to reschedule this event in 2020.
We sincerely hope you will join us for the Inaugural Cork & Cuisine Experience in 2021.
Has anyone associated with the event showed symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19?
To our knowledge, no.
What should I do about my flight, hotel reservations?
If you have reservations at One Ocean Resort & Spa. They have graciously agreed to move our April 2020 room block and honor those reservations for the April 2021 event weekend. If you need to cancel your new reservation for April 2021, please wait until March 17 to call One Ocean.
Check with your air carrier, as many are waiving change fees related to COVID-19. Additionally, most hotels allow rooms to be canceled with no penalty a certain number of days before check in. Please call your hotel and air carrier immediately to address changes in travel.
What will happen to the wine donated from vintners?
The wine will be stored until arrangements are made with each vintner.
Will I get a tax write-off for my contribution?
Yes, all contributions made to the Baptist Health Foundation will be eligible for the 2020 tax year.
Who should I contact if I want a refund?
We would like you to make plans to join us for the rescheduled Cork & Cuisine Experience in 2021. We will honor your sponsorship and ticket reservations, should you make plans to join us.
If you would not like to participate in the rescheduled Cork & Cuisine Experience in 2021, please contact the Baptist Health Foundation office at email@example.com to process the refund.

Benefiting Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center Neuro-Oncology Program
A diagnosis of a brain or spine tumor often leaves patients and families stunned. But the field of brain and spine oncology is changing rapidly. As we learn more about the disease, new, state of the art therapies and diagnostic tools are being developed that were inconceivable, even 10 years ago.
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Neuro-Oncology Program is led by Dr. Robert Cavaliere. After 15 years in academic medicine, Dr. Cavaliere jumped at the chance to join Baptist MD Anderson.
Dr. Cavaliere’s expertise and national reputation leading clinical trials and other field research gives Jacksonville patients access to care not typically available in a community health setting. Funds raised from the Cork & Cuisine Experience will provide eligible brain tumor patients with the opportunity to participate in these groundbreaking trials.
