Grassroots Economic Growth: Supporting Small Business
About The Event
While we often hear about the resources available to startups, existing small businesses, particularly brick and mortar businesses, encounter difficulty securing funding appropriate to their needs. Many of these entrepreneurs rely on bootstrapping and personal determination to grow their business. This interactive discussion will focus on new and existing resources to support local businesses, including small business loans, community development financial institutions, technical assistance providers, and other options for small business financing. Our panel of entrepreneurs, funders, and policymakers will lead a discussion on how we can drive economic growth through supporting the resilient, value-adding businesses that are fixtures of our local community. We’ll dig into why new models of support for small businesses is a social issue and highlight existing solutions. More speakers will be announced soon. Check back for additional details.
