Shark Tank Postponement

The safety and well-being of our community is Teach For America’s top priority. In light of recent public health concerns surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have made the difficult decision to postpone the TFA LV Shark Tank weekend (Saturday 3/28) until further notice.
Here at Teach For America we do our work through the lens of our core values. In the spirit of our Strengthen Community core value, we are assuming responsibility for our collective strength by doing what is within our control to help contain the community transmission of the virus.
All purchased tickets will be honored for the postponed event and we sincerely hope that you can attend! The purchased ticket also goes to our Community Award, which the audience can vote for their favorite pitch. For guests who are unable to join us on the new date, we are happy to offer a full refund. Please email danielle.batin@teachforamerica.org to indicate how you would like your ticket(s) refunded. If we don’t hear from you by March 28, we will assume that you plan to celebrate with us for the future date.
While we are disappointed that we won’t see you in-person this month, we are tremendously grateful for all of the ways that you are supporting our community of leaders and changemakers in educational equity.
We hope that you can still be involved with our TFA LV Shark Tank event when our new date is finalized. We will continue to update our event website with new event-related details. Until then, please do not hesitate to reach out for any questions you may have.

About the TFA Las Vegas Shark Tank Event
Since 2004, TFA has been working for a better future for all kids in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is a community built on imagination and limitless opportunity. As one of the United States’ historic and current boomtowns, our community has been building momentum towards a brighter and more equitable future. From investment in a new initiative at UNLV’s College of Education to the potential promise of newly launched high performing schools; from community growth in the form of our improving economy and recovered housing sector to the launch of NHL and NFL teams, Las Vegas is proudly roaring a call of progress. Teach for America Las Vegas has been at the forefront of the movement. With TFA LV's Social Innovation Cohort, six fellows learned about design-thinking and social innovation with a lens towards equity and the local Las Vegas context. Join us for a night as we learn and celebrate the fellows as they pitch their ideas for long-term impact to the community.
