The Inova 4th Annual National Neuroscience Review will provide physicians with leading-edge medical and surgical information in the treatment of epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, movement disorders, memory disorders, sleep dysfunctions, stroke and trends in neuroscience. Attendees will learn how new treatments have demonstrated success in improving outcomes for acute ischemic stroke, movement disorders, epilepsy, Parkinson’s and other neurological disorders.
Identify and list the risk factors associated with obstructive sleep apnea, and examine the recent protocols for evaluating epileptic patients by discussing various sleep study measures.
Examine the unique signs and symptoms associated with epilepsy, types of seizures, and how it is differentiated from pseudoseizures.
Analyze updated medical therapies such as deep brain stimulation, Duopa pump, focused ultrasound, and how it can be implemented into current practice.
