CLE Financial Hardship Policy
A limited number of scholarships are available to those who cannot attend this course without financial support. Persons needing scholarship assistance should submit a statement justifying their scholarship request, with a resume that details professional relevancy and letter to Director of Events, Jamie Tassa, that states the reason for the attorney's interest in the event, as well as an explanation of the financial hardship. The letter must be submitted at least 30 days before the event begins and must be signed by the requesting attorney. Full and/or partial waivers will be awarded on a space available basis, with preference given to applicants in the order of date submitted. No requests for waivers will be accepted at the door.
Procedures for Processing Requests for Waivers
The Director of Events will review the application for waiver and determine whether to request additional information. The Director of Events will make a recommendation as to whether a full or partial waiver should be granted. Factors determining if a waiver should be considered include whether the attorney is currently employed, the attorney's annual income, and the reason for the waiver request. The Director of Events will review and make the final decision as to whether a full or partial waiver will be granted, They will then notify the attorney of whether, and to what extent, a waiver will be granted.
