ABOUT THE EVENT
An inaugural event, Teach For America Metro Atlanta Shark Tank serves as the centerpiece event celebrating our 20th anniversary in the community. The event honors the progress that has been made over the last 20 years while being clear-eyed about the progress that still needs to happen – all while amplifying the voices of our students, teachers, and members who are the leaders working to solve some of the most insidious challenges that face our communities with unwavering belief and innovative ideas. The Teach For America Metro Atlanta Shark Tank amplifies the awareness and need for equitable systems for children in Atlanta through innovative ideas and solutions presented by our members to the challenges that affect the communities where we work. Participants will listen and learn about a few of the social ventures that are gaining traction in the realm of educational equity in Metro Atlanta. Innovators from TFAs network will pitch their ideas to celebrity sharks and be awarded prize money to see their ventures continue to make strides in the community.
