    A Quality Symposium- Inova’s Advances in Pulmonary and Critical Care Conference is a full day comprehensive event that offers top-quality education and the opportunity to virtually connect with expert faculty.

    Cutting Edge Advances - This event will include discussions covering the latest in pulmonary and critical care medicine and directly focus on updates pertaining to Environmental and Occupational Pulmonary Medicine, Pulmonary Hypertension Diagnosis and Management, Diagnosis and Treatment of Cystic Fibrosis, and Thromboembolic Disease. In addition, this conference will target information on Disaster Medicine in Changing World, Obstetrics for Intensivists, Oncologic Complications for Intensivists , and Use of Inotropes and Vasoactive Medications in Cardiogenic Shock. 

    Learning Objectives

    • Examine diagnostic criteria and literature regarding Type 1 and 4 WHO Group pulmonary hypertension.
    • List the diagnostic criteria and management care of cystic fibrosis based on current guidelines.
    • Identify how to diagnose and treat severe complications in pregnant patients with new biologic oncology medications.
    • Discuss the pathophysiology of pulmonary hypertension.
    • Recognize the appropriate pulmonary arterial hypertension targeted therapies.
