Cedar Rapids STEM Goes Red
About the Event
The American Heart Association (AHA) invites you to this year's third annual Cedar Rapids Area STEM Goes Red Digital Experience. The event is designed to provide young girls in grades 6-9 with insights into the careers and the potential they possess to make a real impact on the world around them through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Together, we can ensure more girls have the opportunity to build a brighter, healthier tomorrow to benefit all. Event Host: Morgan Kofoid, Miss Iowa and a recent graduate from the University of Iowa College of Nursing with her BSN. Parents and teachers must RSVP to attend the event. All students will need parent permission to attend and get the LIVE event link. The virtual event kicks off on April 27th with a one hour LIVE event full of speakers, heart health information and more. When the live event is completed all the additional sessions will open for viewing and interaction. We are adding content and speakers daily, so check back for additional updates! If you have any questions contact Heidi Hora at 319-560-0800 or Heidi.Hora@heart.org. All are welcome to attend. Share with us your favorite STEM activity that you like to do now and use #STEMGoesRedIA and tag us the day of the event to show us how you STEM!
