
Jakobi Davis
Cornell Student
Jakobi Davis is the son of two educators. He had the opportunity to live in Mumbai, India where his parents taught at an international school. This helped shape his love of travel and his desire to become an engineer. He has traveled to over 20 countries on 6 continents and hopes to make it to Antarctica one day. In high school he played both basketball and baseball, as well as studied music theory and played the guitar. He received an IB Diploma with multiple honors. He was named the Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year, won the Pearlman Price Young Entrepreneurs Competition and was selected to take part in a leadership conference in Berlin, Germany. He has studied wind turbines in Denmark, geothermal energy in Iceland, biogas in Tanzania and solar energy in Florida where he grew up. Jakobi is currently studying environmental engineering with a focus in sustainable energy at Cornell University. He hopes to do summer internships around the world that will provide practical experience to further his studies.
