About the Event
This online event is for professionals in roles supporting or leading the development of researchers and research, who would like to broaden their understanding of evaluation and impact of researcher development to inform institutional policy and practice. Participants will explore different challenges facing them now and in the future, and consider how supporting the development of researchers can help tackle them, with an emphasis on demonstrating impact. Using a blend of on demand content and live sessions focused on deeper learning and discussion, the programme has been developed to support the evolving needs of this professional community. This event aims to help you: • navigate the researcher development landscape in terms of the challenges facing the sector • gain understanding of the concepts and methodologies for evaluating impact • add value in your role through supporting and influencing programme development and policy change • share practice with other professionals who support the development of researchers and research The programme will cover a range of tools and tactics to help you in evaluating the impact of your researcher development initiatives, including institutional case studies and the opportunity to discuss what you’ve learned in the context of tackling some of the big challenges facing you and your institution.
