Niall Concannon
Niall is Interim Head of Retail Sales in New Ireland having joined in 2019 from Zurich Life where he held the national role of Business Development Director for Protection Business. He has a wealth of experience having previously held roles as Regional Sales Director and Broker Consultant with Zurich Life. Niall joined the industry in 1993, starting his career with Cornmarket Financial Services as a Financial Consultant. He is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin and holds a Masters in Financial Services from UCD and CFP®. He is also a past Chairman of the LIA West of Ireland Region.
Lori Heinel - Global CIO SSGA
Lori is executive vice president and global chief investment officer at State Street Global Advisors. In this capacity, Lori oversees industry-leading investment capabilities from index funds and exchange traded funds to active, multi-asset class solutions and alternative investments. She leads an investment team of more than 600 professionals globally. She is also a member of the company's Executive Management Group, Investment Committee and Global Product Committee.
Michael Murphy
Michael joined Bank of Ireland in July 2017 as Managing Director of New Ireland and became Managing Director of New Ireland, Wealth & Insurance in May 2018 . Prior to Bank of Ireland he held a number of Managing Director and Finance Director positions at an Irish, European and Global level with Great-West, Aviva and Willis Towers Watson. His most recent role in WTW was Managing Director and Global Leader, Insurance Consulting & Technology. Before joining WTW he held a number of senior management positions in Aviva (most recently as Managing Director & Director of General Insurance Products for Aviva Europe) and Great-West/Canada Life (as European (excl. UK) Finance Director and Chief Actuary). Michael started his career with Bank of Ireland Lifetime Assurance in 1989.
Gavin Brennan
Gavin has over 32 years’ experience in the Irish Financial services sector. He has held various positions in New Ireland and has been Head of Corporate Business since 2018. Gavin holds an MBS in Business practice from UCC and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and IIPM. He was also past President and board member of the LIA in 2019.
Linda Grainger
Linda joined New Ireland in 2019 as an Account Manager for the Cork and Kerry region, having held the Account Manager position with Friends First in Cork prior to that. Linda has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and started out her career in stockbroking in Dublin after completing her degree in Economics in UCD. She later progressed to roles in Private Banking and Wealth Management before making the move back to Cork. She is a Qualified Financial Advisor, RPA and a regional committee member of the LIA in Cork since 2017.
George Fox
George is the Head of Digital for New Ireland, working very closely with colleagues in sales, operations, IT and product development to bring our digital propositions to life. George has over 20 years experience working in the Life and Pensions industry and has brought many of our Broker focused offerings to the market, including our leading iPort solution, Fund Centre, our recent online compliance tool, our online Pension Calculator and much more. Recently, George has been working with our Brokers and Broker Consultants to research, design and lead on our new Broker Portal and connectivity with Broker CRM partners which has been well received by the market and has a packed release schedule for new functionality from now to year end. He holds a Masters in Marketing and is a QFA.
Neville Maxwell
Neville is the Group Pension sales and development manager for MP365, NIA’s group pensions platform which is delivering both our Master Trust and Single Trust solution to the Group Pension market. He has worked with New Ireland for the last 21 years and has vast experience in the group pension section with both retail and corporate brokerages. Neville is a graduate of NUIG and holds a Post grad in Business & Finance from UCD, is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
Joyce Brennan
Joyce Brennan is Managing Director of General Investment Trust dac, which provides trustees services to pension plans with more than €2 billion of assets and 70,000 members. She is an experienced director, leader and actuary with diverse expertise across the insurance, pensions and health care sectors. She was previously executive director at Irish Pensions Trust Ltd for nearly 5 years, where she chaired several Boards of Trustees, including two Master Trusts. She has more than 30 years’ experience in various roles in the pensions sector, including with Mercer and KPMG. She is an experienced non-executive director, with expertise across strategy and governance, and experience as chair of audit committees and risk committees.
Patrick Cosgrave
Patrick is Head of Corporate products for New Ireland. He is responsible for commercial development and maintenance of group pension, group risk and annuity business lines. He brings a blend of actuarial, technology, business process management, outsourcing and regulatory oversight experience across many aspects of the financial services market, and has worked across a variety of roles, both in Ireland and overseas. He has served on the Society of Actuaries practicing certificate committee and chaired the working party on the response to Pensions Authority Consultation on Regulation of Defined Contribution Master Trusts.
George Nolan
George is the Technical Development Manager of New Ireland’s Life and Pensions Technical Team. George provides pensions technical support and business solutions for New Ireland’s, Customer Service teams, Commercial division and three Distribution channels. The supports include running pension webinars, seminars and training programmes throughout the country and preparing technical newsletters and updates. George has over 25 years of experience in the Life & Pensions industry. He is a member of the Insurance Ireland Pension Committee and IAPF DC Committee. He is a trustee of the Lifetime Group Retirement and Death Benefit Plan and a regular presenter at Life Insurance Association (LIA) pension seminars.
Cyra Barry
Cyra is Head of Retail Products for New Ireland. She is responsible for the commercial development and management of individual protection, investment and pension business lines. Having joined New Ireland in 2004, she brings considerable experience in product development, pricing and proposition delivery. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and she is currently a member of the Pensions Committee with the Society of Actuaries.
Andy Ivory-Corr
Andy is head of Investment Sales with New Ireland for the last 14 years and has over 30 years’ experience in the Irish Financial services sector. Prior to Working with New Ireland, Andy spent 6 years in a national role as Investment Development Manager with Bank of Ireland Life and has also worked with Bank of Ireland Private Banking, and Davy Stockbrokers. Andy holds an MSc (Honours) degree in Financial Services from UCD and the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. He is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in the Irish market. With over 22 years of experience in Investments Andy is a frequent speaker at industry events, and a regular contributor to investment trade publications on investment issues.
