Minority and Women in entrepreneurship sig awards
The primary mission of the USASBE Minority and Women Entrepreneurship SIG is "to engage and assist entrepreneurship scholars, educators, and practitioners interested in advancing entrepreneurial opportunities and successful venture creation and growth for underrepresented groups".
The MWE SIG promotes the advancement of high-quality scholarship, practice, and teaching for this unique group of entrepreneurs and academics.
The MWE SIG organized an awards program to emphasize the significant accomplishments of members in their respective areas and inspire other members to achieve. The honors are bestowed each year during the USASBE annual conference.
MWE Education Innovator Award
Awarded to an exceptional higher education faculty member who has demonstrated extraordinary pedagogy and/or research in minority and/or women's entrepreneurship in the past year. Preference shall be given to members of the MWE SIG.
MWE Emerging Scholar Award
Awarded to an emerging scholar/educator who has demonstrated early career success in minority and/or women's entrepreneurship and offers promise for further advanced innovative research and/or instruction in this area. Nominees should be within five years of earning a doctorate as of the date of nomination with preference given to members of the MWE SIG.
