Emerging Tracks: Submissions in this category are peer-reviewed considered for presentation at the conference, may be considered for publication in the proceedings, but are not considered for applicable awards. Deadline for submissions is November 6, 2022. Emerging Tracks include:
Emerging Research Papers
Track Chair: Wendy Chen (Texas Tech University)
The Emerging Research Paper Track is for researchers who are at the early stages of a research project. Presenters of accepted submissions in this category will need to prepare a brief abstract, provide their research question and research/theoretical framework and methodology, as well as be able to discuss contributions to entrepreneurship research. They also should be prepared to receive critical and developmental feedback on next steps of their research. Additional follow-up conversations and collaborations may develop around the ideas throughout the USASBE 2023 experience. Link to Template
Emerging Experiential Exercises
Track Chair: Stacey Reynolds (Clayton State University)
The Emerging Experiential Exercises Track* is for educators who have an emerging idea, tool or approach to enable more experiential learning and wish to work with others to develop the concept to fruition. Ideators of accepted submissions in this category will need to prepare an engaging pitch on an idea or prototype for USASBE 2023 and be prepared to work collaboratively with others who have similar interests. They also should be prepared to receive critical and developmental feedback from a variety of sources. Additional follow-up conversations and collaborations may develop around the ideas throughout the USASBE 2023 experience. Link to Template
Innovative Co-curricular Programming
Track Chair: Emma Fleck (Susquehanna University)
The InnovativeCo-curricular Programming Track is for presenters to share their new, creative, and/or innovative programming that they are in the design or initial implementation stages. Presenters should be prepared to provide a summary of the program, and also explain why they feel it is different from current program offerings, what problems or challenges the program was designed to address. Accepted submissions in this category will have the opportunity to present their program in a 15-20 minute session during USASBE 2023. Link to Template
Important Information Regarding Submissions
Authors of each accepted paper must ensure that at least one author registers for the conference. USASBE 2023 conference is delivered in a hybrid format, and it is strongly recommended that at least one author is presenting in person.
General Submission Information
All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM ET on the day of the corresponding deadline. Competitive submissions must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or accepted for publication, or that are simultaneously in submission to a journal, conference, or workshop with published proceedings. All submissions should be anonymous; papers not properly anonymized may be rejected without review.
All submissions will follow a blind peer-review process and are evaluated based on their merits and relevance for entrepreneurship education, in line with the USASBE mission.
Submissions may be rejected for being out of scope, at the discretion of the Conference Commission. Authors who have questions about whether their work is in scope are encouraged to ask Track Chairs in advance.
Providing Artifacts
Submissions whose claimed contributions rely on artifacts (e.g., models, data sets) are expected to make these accessible to the reviewers, unless there are good reasons not to, in which case these reasons must be mentioned in the submission. Submissions whose claimed contributions do not rely on artifacts do not need to submit artifacts.
Conference Tracks
USASBEās Annual Conference features a multi-track format. Each track has its own Track Chair(s). The overall process is managed by the USASBE Conference Commission.
At the time of submission, authors must select one track, which should be the most relevant to the topic of the submission. During the review process, authors will be contacted if a submission would be better suited in a different track.
Rule of Three
An author is only allowed to submit three papers, proposals, or abstracts to the USASBE 2023 conference.
Conflicts of Interest
Track Chairs are allowed to submit papers. Those papers will be handled by the Conference Commission and follow the blind peer-review process.
Potential Conflicts of Interest (co-author with a track chair or conference commission) may be addressed by a different track chair. All USASBE sponsored conferences and workshops are required to follow our Code of Ethics (link to Code of Ethics). If you would like to report a violation, please contact the Conference Commission or the Ombudsperson. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your communication.

Diversity and Inclusion
USASBE is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in our community. If you have suggestions, concerns, or complaints related biases or sexual harassment, we encourage you to reach out to the Conference Commission. We are committed to protecting the anonymity of such reports and helping to address your concerns. We value your feedback and ideas to help us all build a healthier and more welcoming community.
We encourage the authors to be mindful of not using language or examples that further the marginalization, stereotyping, or erasure of any group of people, especially historically marginalized and/or under-represented groups (URGs) in entrepreneurship education. Of course, exclusionary treatment can arise unintentionally. Be vigilant and actively guard against such issues in your writing. Reviewers will also be empowered to monitor and demand changes if such issues arise in your submissions.
