- Getting your test results back varies greatly by the company, provider, and laboratory performing the COVID-19 test and the type of test administered. You should confirm your preferred communication method when scheduling your test.
- Types of COVID-19 tests accepted by Power Rising:
- MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL SETTINGS*
- The spread of COVID-19 continues to be a significant risk for many, regardless of age and other factors. Every attendee is required to wear a mask that is well-fitting and filters air well in all indoor public places, regardless of vaccination status.
- Examples of a proper mask include a well-fitting respirator (e.g., N95, KN95) or a double mask (a well-fitting cloth mask over a medical mask).
- You are allowed to take off your mask while you are:
- Actively eating or drinking.
- Alone in a separate room or space.
- Showering or swimming.
- Receiving cosmetic or similar personal care services (like makeup) that cannot be done without removing your mask.
- Speaking during the event as a panelist, keynote, etc. only at the time of your segment and/or when addressing the audience.
- Note: *There are some people who should not wear a mask, such as children younger than 2, people with certain medical conditions or disabilities, and people instructed by their medical provider not to wear a mask. Children ages 2 to 8 should wear a mask only when under adult supervision.

- We ask that you follow general precautionary practices, which include:
- If your transportation to the event involves mass transportation systems, we ask that you please wear a mask on transit to minimize the risk of COVID transmission.
- There will be hand sanitizer stations positioned throughout the event space. Please use them frequently.
- Shield your coughs or sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash; if a tissue is not available, use your sleeve.
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home if you are feeling ill.
- We ask that you follow general precautionary practices, which include:

- To assist attendees in communicating their level of comfort when interacting with one another, we have established the following color-coded designation (shown below) to represent each attendee’s preference of interaction:
- Red – Love for a distance
- Yellow – We can touch but don’t linger
- Green – Open to hugs

- To assist attendees in communicating their level of comfort when interacting with one another, we have established the following color-coded designation (shown below) to represent each attendee’s preference of interaction:
- Individuals who currently or within the past fourteen (14) days (prior to attending the event) have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath, among others; or
- Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days (prior to attending the event) either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19 and are not in compliance with current local and CDC Guidelines related to domestic and international travel, as updated (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/after-travel-precautions.html); or
- Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.
COVID-19 GUIDELINES, POLICIES & Safety Measures
Hosting a safe event is our top priority as we return to in-person events.
The best protection against COVID-19 is vaccination. It is required that all meeting attendees (volunteer, staff, et. al) be up to date with their primary series of COVID-19 vaccination doses, and provide evidence of a Negative COVID-19 Test taken within 72 hours of arrival.
Attendees will be asked to show proof of vaccination, their negative COVID test result AND a valid, government issued ID to attend.
We will accept the following as proof of vaccination:
Prior to arrival, each attendee, exhibitor, representative, speaker, staff, vendor, volunteer, and any other person(s) officially participating in the event will be required to upload verifiable documentation to CrowdPass. CrowdPass is HIPAA compliant and will approve and validate all uploads/documents. Your documents must be received prior to your arrival onsite at the venue.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK
By attending Power Rising 2022, You hereby acknowledge that participation in the event comes with inherent risks, including possible exposure to and infection with viruses such as COVID-19. You further acknowledge that POWER RISING will require proof of vaccination for such virus before participation at the Event. Finally, You acknowledge that additional information regarding health and safety requirements will be available at the Event, and POWER RISING reserves the right to implement screening measures or other health and safety measures depending on federal, state, or local requirements pertaining to the virus.
By attending the POWER RISING Conference, you certify that you do not fall into any of the following categories:
RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of Your participation in Power Rising 2022, You, on behalf of Yourself, Your heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, and assigns, HEREBY DO RELEASE POWER RISING, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives and insurers, from any causes of action, claims, or demands of any nature whatsoever including, but in no way limited to, claims of negligence, which You, Your heirs, representatives, executors, administrators and assigns may have, now or in the future, against POWER RISING on account of personal injury, property damage, death or accident of any kind, arising out of or in any way related to my participation in the Event, however the injury or damage occurs.
You further certify that You are of lawful age (18 years or older) and otherwise legally competent to sign this agreement, and that You have legal capacity to act in this matter. You further understand that the terms of this agreement are legally binding and certify that You understand this agreement, after having carefully read it, of Your own free will.
CANCELLATION POLICY
POWER RISING reserves the right to substitute faculty or to cancel, modify, substitute, or reschedule sessions because of speaker availability or other circumstances that are unforeseen or beyond the control of POWER RISING. POWER RISING reserves the right to cancel this program due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund will be given to participants. POWER RISING will not be responsible for travel expenses incurred by the participant in the unlikely event that the program is canceled. POWER RISING shall assume no liability (other than refund stated above) whatsoever in the event this conference is canceled, rescheduled, or postponed due to a fortuitous act, Act of God, unforeseen circumstance, or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: illness, war, fire, extreme weather or other emergency. If unforeseen circumstances prevent POWER RISING from delivering the program in person, options for rescheduling will be provided.
