ROUTES
For the first time ever, we're offering three different routes to choose from. All of them are beautiful and challenging in their own way, so we're sure everyone will be able to find a route that suits them.
Please see information on our 40km, 70km and 122km routes below.
Riders must make sure they download the route on the day of the event.
The route is subject to change, including on the day of the event; due to unplanned road closures, accidents, weather etc. Please ensure you follow the route signage on the day rather than your download.
40km route
The 40km route is perfect if you're looking to challenge yourself while still enjoying the scenery and not being completely out of your comfort zone.
The route starts with all other riders from Sandown through Cobham, breaking off at Bridge End and runs a loop through Effingham and Fetcham, before returning back to the racecourse. Overall, it is fairly flat but has a couple of challenging hills along the way. The ride is expected to take between an hour and a half to two hours to complete. If you are unsure about your ability this is the best route to start with.

70km route
If you're looking for a little more adventure, then you'll want to consider our 70km route. This route takes you out towards Box Hill and into some more remote areas.
Riders will leave with all other cyclists from Sandown through Cobham, then head towards Ockham and Horsley. Once out in the Surrey Hills, riders will tackle a few climbs before stopping at a pitstop near Hombury St Mary for refreshments and recovery. The cycle continues towards Box Hill where riders then get to climb the zigzag road up to the summit and the second pit stop.
From there, the route circles back down through Leatherhead and back up to Cobham for the home stretch to Sandown Racecourse. The ride is expected to take between three and four hours to complete.

122km route
The 122km course is designed for intermediate - advanced riders, so if you're a beginner, you'll want to stick with our shorter routes.
The 122km route is an undulating course over the Surrey Hills, across open meadows and challenging climbs through the forest. Riders will start by joining all other cyclists from Sandown through Cobham before breaking off at Bridge End and heading out towards Blackheath. The route climbs up to Busbridge before turning South to Dunsfold and the first pitstop.
From there, riders will continue into West Sussex and then come back over the border into the Surrey Hills via Forest Green and up to the second pitstop at Hombury St Mary. Once refreshed, riders proceed to the bottom of Box Hill where they get to climb on the famous zigzag road to the summit and their third pitstop.
Finally, they'll continue back down towards Leatherhead into Cobham before finishing at Sandown racecourse—the ride is expected to take approximately between five and six hours.
