SESSIONS
Against the backdrop of the work undertaken by the CDM Trading Working Group, this ISLA-led session will focus on the importance of standardization in pre-trade negotiations, provide a holistic overview of the future of the CDM initiative, and outline work in progress to extend the framework to digitized documentation. This will include member firm representatives explaining the current business workflows that have been identified (including their impacts), along with a demonstration of the ‘Propose-Counter-Accept’ workflow and how that can be incorporated into the contract lifecycle to increase efficiencies. ISLA will also outline additional use cases for the CDM, including work on the modeling for evergreen and extendible contracts and the 2023 initiative to digitize legal documentation to pave the way for the use of smart contracts.
