Community Weekend 2023
About the Event
Community Weekend (CW) was created as a way to bring the Scholars of the Lenfest College Scholarship Program together. Over the years as the program has grown, so has the weekend. Community Weekend now stands as a three-day event that focuses on connecting Scholars, Scholar alums, and other members of the Lenfest community. These groups come together and engage in educational sessions, social and networking events, a celebratory banquet, and more. Community Weekend will continue to bridge the gap of cohorts, new and familiar, by bringing them together once a year for moments of learning, reflection, and celebration. This year’s Community Weekend will be held at Gettysburg College, June 23-25! We are eager to continue the tradition of connection and learning with the members of the Lenfest Community new and old. We are excited to introduce the theme of “Pathways to Rural Student Success” for Community Weekend 2023. We hope that Scholars at all stages of their journey will have the opportunity to hear about, discuss, and reflect on a multitude of possible paths, some of which they may know well and some of which they may not have imagined. The wisdom, experience, and vision of the entire Lenfest Scholars Foundation community offer an unparalleled resource for this exploration.

Community Weekend 2022
In 2022, Community Weekend was held in person at Franklin & Marshall College and featured several sessions geared toward current Scholars, Scholar alums, parents and guardians, and partner school counselors and teachers. We were excited to provide the community with the opportunity to reconnect and we can't wait to connect again in 2023!
