This free full-day virtual symposium will feature in-depth multidisciplinary expert lectures and panel case discussions about time sensitive diseases, peritoneal resuscitation, management of cardiac injuries, and abdominal reconstruction. The event is intended for surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, emergency medical services providers and all other allied health professionals.
Trauma Acute Care Surgery at Inova Health System
When it comes to traumatic injury, every minute matters. Inova Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (TACS) – a division of the Surgery Service Line – provides comprehensive, around-the-clock care for emergency general surgery, surgical critical care and trauma patients.
The Inova Trauma Center on the Fairfax Medical Campus (IFMC) is Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. In addition to being designated by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the IFMC trauma center has been verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) since 1993.
Inova Loudoun Hospital (ILH) was designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center in 2016 and is Loudoun County’s first and only trauma center.

Attendance will be reported electronically within the week to the Virginia Office of EMS using your Virginia Certification Number provided at registration.
