    Glaucoma Patient Summit

    ABOUT THE EVENT

    The 5th annual Glaucoma Patient Summit, hosted by Glaucoma Research Foundation, will highlight advances in treatment options and provide practical information to help patients and caregivers understand and live with glaucoma.

    This year, the event will take place over two days. On Friday June 23rd, you have the option to register for ONE of three small group seminars that will focus on specific topics. The day will end with our welcome reception and exhibit hall for all summit attendees. On Saturday, June 24th, the general session will include presentations and panel discussions with leading glaucoma specialists, patients and caregivers.

    This is an in-person event only with no live virtual option. Sessions held on June 24th will be video taped and available on our website following the event.




    FRIDAY JUNE 23rd


    For Day 1, sign up for one of three optional small-group seminars ($25 per person) from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Seminar topics are below; space is limited.


    WELCOME RECEPTION

    All Summit attendees are invited to join the Welcome Reception from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Network with patients and summit speakers and visit the exhibit hall


    SEMINARS

    (Optional and limited seating)


    1. Young Adults and Glaucoma

    In a small group, learn practical tips and strategies for managing glaucoma when you are diagnosed at a younger age. The presentation and discussion will highlight how to thrive in your life and career. Parents and caregivers are welcome as well. 


    2. Low Vision Resources 

    Experts will share practical tools and highlight technologies for enhancing independence and quality of life for patients with low vision. Will include demonstrations of assistive technologies and adaptive devices.


    3. Home-Based Glaucoma Management Techniques

    This seminar will feature strategies and tips for managing glaucoma at home including IOP monitoring, lifestyle adjustments and support from family and friends.  

    SATURDAY JUNE 24th

    Day 2 is a full day of presentations and discussions with clinicians, patients and caregivers. Friday's welcome reception as well as Saturday's breakfast, lunch, and the closing reception are included in your ticket purchase. There is an additional fee if you register for one of the pre-summit seminars.
