Digitisation Taskforce’s Seven Principal Recommendations
About the Event
The Taskforce, led by Sir Douglas Flint is looking into how the UK can abolish physical share certificates, improve market digitisation, enhance the interaction between issuers, intermediaries and investors, and better enfranchise beneficial shareholders. We believe it's vitally important that the views of both issuers and investors are included in the taskforce's considerations. This initiative represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to influence decisions on the shareholding model of the future, ensuring it meets the needs of issuers and investors. As it stands, we have concerns regarding the practicality, complexity and sub-optimal nature of some of the proposals. As a result, we'd like to invite you to join us for a live webinar where our Head of UK Registry, Michael Sansom and Andy Callow, Senior Manager, Regulatory & Market Initiatives discuss the principal recommendations and address the potential impacts.
