Achieving net zero objectives by 2050, as set out by the Paris Agreement, will take the combined cooperative action of governments, nonprofits and the private sector. The synchronised action of the private sector has the potential to change the economics of decarbonisation, particularly of the highest emitting industries. However, the disconnect across industries between supply and demand in decarbonisation solutions is hampering progress. Entire value chains must be reinvented to create the equitable, affordable and sustainable transition needed to reach a net zero economy.
While significant progress has been made, it is clear that a rapid and extensive reduction of emissions is required. Businesses that innovate quickly, leverage technology to reinvent, collaborate across value chains, and use sustainability to drive business performance can benefit from enormous green growth opportunities alongside stakeholder praise.
The Financial Times, in partnership with Accenture, is delighted to host an insightful webinar which provides actionable insights into how companies can accelerate their net-zero transition through increased collaboration and the use of digital technologies to create the change needed to reach net zero by mid-century.
