Teach For America works in partnership with urban and rural communities in 52 regions across the country to expand educational opportunity for children. Founded in 1990, Teach For America recruits and develops a diverse corps of outstanding leaders to make an initial two-year commitment to teach in high-need schools and become lifelong leaders in the effort to end educational inequity. Today Teach For America is a force of 64,000 alumni and corps members committed to profound systemic change.

Teach For America Oklahoma City began in 2011, serving communities in central and western Oklahoma. To date, more than 500 leaders have positively impacted the lives of thousands of students. Our teachers, alumni, and staff have adopted Oklahoma's spirit of collaboration, resilience, and determination, and we work relentlessly to ensure the students of our region have the top opportunities they deserve.

In 2020, Teach For America launched an ambitious 10 year goal that by 2030, twice as many children in communities where we work will reach key educational milestones. Over the past three years, we have launched innovative fellowships, expanded supports for alumni, and evolved our corps member development to make progress towards this goal. However, we cannot reach this goal without the support and partnership of community members like you.

Leap For One Day serves as an opportunity to learn about what it will take to ensure all students have an opportunity to attain an excellent education, connect with other committed educational leaders, and continue inspiring positive change in the world of education.
