ROUTES
We are offering a variation of different routes to choose from. All of them are beautiful and challenging in their own way, so we're sure everyone will be able to find a route that suits them.
Please see information on our 40/45KM, 79km and 123km routes below as a guide.
Riders are advised to download the route on the day of the event. However, the route is subject to change, including on the day of the event; due to unplanned road closures, accidents, weather etc. Please ensure you follow the route signage on the day rather than your download if there is a contradiction.
40km / 45KM route
45KM
The 45k route fairly easy route will only two climbs. Departing from Sandown on the A307 towards Cobham, it takes Icklingham Road down to Leigh Corner and then south to Stoke D’Abernon. It’s then onto Fetcham and Great Bookham. After Great Bookham the first climb up Chapel Lane, carefully on the descent down Bagden Hill its steep winding descent. Short route will merge with the Long and Medium at Westhumble. This is where you’ll need to follow the cycle path through the subway under the A24, the route arrives at the bottom of iconic Box Hill where riders will then get to climb on the Zigzag Road to the Summit for a pit stop. Then descent the other side of Box hill heading toward Leatherhead, Oxshott and back into Esher for the finish at Sandown.

79km route
Departing from Sandown on the A307 towards Cobham. Follows the same route at the Long route till the route splits in Shalford. Then the route will be heading east towards Bramley where you will merge back with the long route. Second pit stop will be at Bramley Village Hall before carrying on east through Shamley Green and the picturesque route to Shere, Abinger Hammer then a climb up the beech forests of White Down Lane. Once descend Whitedown the route will take you pass Ashmore Park Estate to Westhumble. Where you’ll need to follow thew cycle path through the subway under the A24, the route arrives at the bottom of iconic Box Hill where riders will then get to climb on the Zigzag Road to the Summit for the third and final pitstop. Then descent the other side of Box hill heading toward Leatherhead, Oxshott and back into Esher for the finish at Sandown.

122km route
The first 17 miles follows the same route as 2023, departing Sandown on the A307 towards Cobham. Then, heads out of Cobham towards Downside to pick up the back lanes between Ockham and East Clandon. Once over the A246 and onto Staple Lane the first climb of the day arrives! Once at the top, it's a steep winding descent down to the Shere By-pass and into Albury and Chilworth.
The route carries on to Shalford, Peasmarch, then heads west through Puttenham and onto Seale where you’ll find the first pit stop at Seale Recreation Pavilion. Then its south towards Hankley Common which has served as a filming location for movies like James Bond film ‘Skyfall’. Then head east towards Bramley where you will merge with the medium route. Second pit stop will be at Bramley Village Hall before heading east through Shamley Green and the picturesque route to Shere, Abinger Hammer then a climb up the beech forests of White Down Lane.
