2025 Land Acknowledgement
Great Place To Work Land Acknowledgement:
The Nuwu Southern Paiute, Washoe, Numu Northern Paiute, Nuwe Hualapai and Chemehuevi peoples have lived on this sacred land you stand on now, here at the Great Place To Work For All Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada since time immemorial. We also highlight and uplift all of Nevada’s 27 sovereign tribal nations. To recognize the ancestral lands that we meet upon is an important step in honoring and acknowledging their continued presence today as the Snow Mountain Reservation of the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe.
We recognize that because of broken treaties and involuntary removals, Native Americans were often forced from their lands. We remember and pay respect to the communities impacted by these actions. And it is with great gratitude and honor that our organization, Great Place To Work, pays tribute to the original inhabitants of this land who believe that the earth is a sacred spiritual mother to all five-fingered people. We acknowledge the indigenous nations that have lived and continue to thrive here.
We encourage you to learn more about the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe in their own words by visiting their website here: www.lvpaiutetribe.com
