Tim Lockhart

Tim Lockhart is a SETA in the Strategic Technology Office (STO) where he supports multiple programs focused on reducing barriers to entry for small businesses and nontraditional contractors. Primarily, he manages the Bringing classified Innovation to Defense and Government Systems (BRIDGES) program, which seeks to help innovative companies obtain their facility clearances so that they can support the Department of Defense at classified levels. Prior to joining DARPA in 2017, Tim provided systems engineering support to the Navy and Marine Corps, primarily focusing on directed energy weapons. Before that, Tim was a Marine Corps low altitude air defense officer. Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia and his master’s degree in systems engineering from George Mason University.
