Dressember is more than a campaign. It’s a community. And if you are an advocate who believes in the power of collective action, Dressember is for you.
What began as a fun, creative idea for an awareness campaign has transformed into a global movement to end human trafficking that has generated $20M towards this fight. Dressember is most widely known as a challenge to wear a dress throughout the month of December for the purpose of raising funds and awareness to combat human trafficking. From the beginning, the funds raised by Dressember advocates have gone towards supporting IJM’s mission to protect people in poverty from violence.
Join us at the Dressember x IJM Kick-Off to learn about IJM’s work in the field and hear from partners and advocates right here in the Washington, D.C. area. You will be equipped to use your voice in the Dressember 2024 campaign.
Your $5 ticket includes light fare and drinks, as well as a special gift from an ethical fashion brand. You will also have the chance to practice slow fashion by participating in a free dress swap: bring your pre-loved dresses so they can find a new home and take a dress with you to wear during Dressember!
