Housing

Airports

Two airports serve the Ithaca area. First is the Ithaca Tompkins County International Airport. The airport has flights on Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. With competitive fares, over 700 one-stop destinations, and direct flights to New York City JFK and Washington Dulles IAD, you can easily and economically reach your final destination by flying from Ithaca. 

The Syracuse Hancock International Airport, located about an hour away, is also an option. The Syracuse Hancock International Airport is Central New York’s gateway to the world with nonstop service to 29 destinations via 8 different airlines, including American, United, and Delta.

Bus and Train Transportation

Our Bus (pick up/drop off in front of Starbucks/Hilton Garden Inn on E Seneca St), Greyhound (pick up/drop off on Green St), and Shortline/Coach USA (pick up/drop off Cornell North Campus and Green St) operate buses into Ithaca from a variety of cities, including daily service to/from NYC and Syracuse.

For those who wish to travel by train, Amtrak rail service is available to Syracuse, but there is no direct train to Ithaca.

 Ground Transportation

Once you arrive, Ithaca offers several convenient ground transportation options. In addition to ride-share apps like Lyft and Uber, there are also ground travel and rental car companies:
