    Event Details FAQs

Where do I check in for registration?

For those traveling to Bethel University for the first time (or a refresher for our CSI Alumni), check-in for the event as well as on-campus housing takes place in the front rotunda of the Everest-Rohrer Fine Arts Auditorium on the campus of Bethel University - 1001 Bethel Circle, Mishawaka, IN 46545. (Marked by a purple star on the map below.)

Early check-in is available on Saturday, June 7, from noon until 10 PM. (If you are utilizing on-campus housing and will be arriving after 10 PM, please contact Erin ASAP so we can work on an alternative solution.) Check-in for the event and on-campus housing is also available June 8 from 7:00 am - 1:00 pm.

We would like everyone arriving in Mishawaka on Saturday, either staying on campus or in a hotel, to use early check-in to reduce wait time for others checking in on Sunday morning.

Where can I park on the campus of Bethel University?

The parking lot closest to Everest Rohrer Auditorium is marked on the map below. We recommend parking in the lot adjacent to the Fine Arts Building, especially if you are utilizing on-campus housing.

What meals are included with my registration?

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on both June 8th and 9th are provided for all attendees. Tuesday morning, grab-and-go options will be available for purchase at Sufficient Grounds for attendees from 7 AM to 9 AM. Sufficient Grounds (located directly across the street from the Everest Rohrer Auditorium) will also be open June 8th from 7 am - 4:00 pm and June 9th from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm..

Can I bring my own food?

Through our arrangement with Bethel University's dining program, you don't need to bring meals with you, but you are more than welcome to bring additional snacks. If you are staying on campus, please note that refrigeration is not available in the dorms.

What should I pack to bring with me to the event?

Attire for the event is business casual. If you are attending the factory tour on Bonus Day, closed-toe and closed-heeled shoes are required for your safety. The weather is often unpredictable this time of year in Mishawaka, so be prepared by packing a light jacket and an umbrella, just in case. You will do a fair amount of walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended. If staying in the dorms, bed linens, a pillow, a towel, and a washcloth will be provided. You will need to bring your own toiletries, including hand soap for the restroom.

Do I need to bring my instrument with me? What if it is too large to travel with?

We strongly encourage you to bring your instrument with you so you can fully participate in the reading band session, as well as other sessions that use instruments. If you play a large instrument (trombone, baritone, euphonium, tuba, bassoon, horn, bass clarinet, tenor saxophone, bari saxophone) please reach out to us and let us know you will need to borrow an instrument. Please plan to bring your own mouthpiece and reeds. Percussionists, please bring your sticks and mallets.

    Travel FAQs

What are my transportation options in South Bend/Mishawaka?

Mishawaka offers several convenient ground transportation options. In addition to ride-share apps Lyft and Uber, there are ground travel companies as well.

    Mishawaka Taxi Service (574-607-4750)

    Eagle Transportation Services (574-287-6666)

    Blue Ribbon Taxi (574-233-4040)

We cannot recommend National Car Rentals enough (844-914-1556)  - we have only ever received the best customer experience with them. However, there are several other rental car companies to choose from located at the South Bend Airport as well.

    What are my housing options?

We recommend staying at the nearby Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express, both in nearby Granger for those who would like hotel accommodations. We have a group rate of $99 available at the Hampton Inn for bookings before May 6th. Use the THIS LINK to book, or call 574-243-4600.

We are also pleased to offer an option for on-campus housing for only $55/night. The on-campus rate is $50 per night for a double-occupancy room with a shared restroom. On-campus housing is very much in the style of band camp. The University will provide bed linens, towel, and wash cloth. You will provide your own toiletries, including hand soap, and might also consider an additional pillow, towel, and/or blanket.

Will there be a shuttle to my hotel and campus?

For those staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites and the nearby Holiday Inn Express (both in Granger), there will be limited shuttle service to and from the campus to these hotels. View the full schedule HERE.
