About Teach For America Oklahoma City
Teach For America is a national nonprofit dedicated to the vision that one day, all children will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education. Today, over 70,000 corps members, alumni, and Ignite fellows across the country are reimagining education. In Oklahoma City, we have begun recruitment efforts to reintroduce corps members for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Our approximately 110 Ignite Fellows virtually tutor students with a focus on research-based, small group methods. More than 165 alumni are continuing their lifelong commitment to strong outcomes for kids as teachers, school & district leaders, non-profit leaders, entrepreneurs, and civic organizers.

About Teach For America
Teach For America recruits outstanding and action-oriented leaders to become TFA “corps members" and Ignite fellows. Corps members commit to teaching for two years in a low-income community, where they’re employed by local schools and confront both the challenges and joys of expanding opportunities for kids. Ignite fellows are exceptional college students who commit to virtually tutoring students in small groups at schools in low-income communities. Many of these leaders go on to become future TFA corps members. Last year, 43% of eligible fellows applied to the corps and were 3x more likely to be accepted.
After two years, corps members become part of the TFA alumni network. Informed and inspired by their students, many continue teaching; others pursue other leadership roles in schools and school systems or launch careers in other fields that shape access to education and opportunity.
Teach For America is a proud member of the AmeriCorps national service network. For more information, visit www.teachforamerica.org and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
