GET THE JOB
Create the story
Purpose
This course is meant to be a deep dive into applying the Boiler Room to the Penthouse (“B2PÒ ”) methodology and to develop a marketing and sales conversion strategy that is Day 1 ready to implement. It will also provide concepts to scale up and transcend beyond marketing and into converting sales with meaningful and consistent ways to “Get the Job”.
Abstract
If you’ve been to the Large Loss summits at the Conventions, learned about B2PÒ, and are still saying to yourself, “You know, I really need to market better and rely less on SLA program work.” Well, the talking is over. It is time to unleash the true power of Boiler Room to the Penthouse Marketing by going from the courtship to conversion and sell the job.
In this course, we develop a proper marketing strategy and plan, perfect your strategy and pitch, become your prospect’s “GO-TO” and convert your efforts to consistently sign project contracts or self-developed MSA purchase orders.
Is your “Free” Emergency Recovery Plan (“ERP”) offer not getting you in the door or getting you past rejections? We turbo-charge, super-charge, and coffee-charge your ERP. Best yet, we show you how to charge for it and have clients and prospects beg for more! Take control of the site, handle MIPs, and overcome rejections. You cannot make more money from the office. Let’s get out there and GET THE JOB!

Tell the Story - Support the Story
Plan The Job and Do the Job
Purpose
This commercial project field management and administration course provides and enforces the concepts and skills to plan; coordinate resources; communicate initial scope; develop a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM); generate plans (e.g., Work, Safety, Drying, Monitoring) thereby establishing basis for the project. Then we apply the skills to execute and administrate the plans; manage resources; and provide an efficient and streamlined hand off from the field to the office to the client.
Abstract
You’re in it now, it’s time to kick that job off right and show what you got. From data gathering during the initial walkthrough, to subcontractors, and relevant Materially Interested Parties (MIPs). We will establish the initial scope of work and work plan (Safety, Drying, Inspections, Communication); and develop a ROM, that is often overlooked, yet crucial to row in one direction. We will simplify and streamline the process to get you into and out of the field like a champion. Then we take the skills needed to execute and administrate to the next level. Everything from building science, drying, and equipment selection and operation, to managing and tracking your resources, communicating them daily, and keeping your documentation straight.
Duration – 5 days
Daily Schedule – 8:00am – 5:00pm, except Wednesday. Wednesday may go to 6:30pm.

Invoice the Job and Collect the Job
Purpose
This course provides the skills and concepts to compile field paperwork, convert it to the invoice and invoice support package including performing qualitative reviews; managing chain of custody; performing internal audits; and preparation of a proper invoice package. Then, explore consistent and profitable strategies to respond to audits, collect the invoiced amount, implement cost-effective collection strategies, and understand how your file will be viewed in potential litigation.
Abstract
It’s time to exit the site with the same energy, and expertise as when you got there. Now it’s time to get paid. We demonstrate how to compile, review and convert your field data into a T&M or Xactimate invoice package that will be audit-proof and end-to-end defensible. Then, understand your rights as a contractor, the effect MOU’s, MSAs, and Commercial Program rules have on your ability to collect; properly tying your contract to the invoice package, and ability to respond to objections. Then we show you how it all comes together to defend your invoice package, contract terms, as well as a proactive approach to collections. We will show you when, why, and how to submit written communication, attachments, and other relevant submissions to the proper Materially Interested Parties (MIPs) in the proper way. Finally, we will demonstrate a properly executed contract and why AOB’s are not all that and a bag of chips.
