ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Join us during USA-IT's Midwest Anti-Illegal Trade Summit for a two-part professional education workshop examining how law enforcement investigates illicit trade and intellectual property crimes — and how brands can effectively collaborate in these efforts. Designed and led by Michigan State University's Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection (A-CAPP), the workshop explores the full process of criminal investigations, from referrals and evidence sharing to joint enforcement actions through live facilitation of two courses from their Professional Certificate in Foundations of Brand Protection. Course 112: Investigations by Intellectual Property Rights Holders Course 113: Law Enforcement-Led Investigations Learners will also develop hands-on skills for conducting brand-led investigations, creating effective investigation plans, applying industry best practices, and producing clear, actionable reports that strengthen enforcement and protect brand integrity. - Course Presenters - James Kryskowiak, Brand Protection Manager at Church & Dwight Co., Inc.
