Epithelial Cell: CD4+ T Cell Crosstalk As A Rheostat Of Barrier Immunity

    Virtual Webinar

    February 18, 2026 | 8:00 am PST | 11:00 am EST

    About The Event

Lung epithelial cells are constantly exposed to the environment. Thus, they bear the onus of integrating, processing, and transmitting environmental cues, including microbial or allergenic stimuli, to the immune system. This interaction allows the epithelial cells to strike an optimal balance of triggering inflammation while limiting injury.

In this webinar, we will present research detailing how lung epithelial cells intimately communicate with CD4+ T cells to regulate CD4+ T cell function and location in the context of homeostatic bacterial inhalation. In addition, we will discuss the implications of these airway cellular interactions in the pathogenesis of a severe form of allergic airways disease called neutrophilic asthma.

Key topics discussed in this webinar will include:

    • Functions and identification of lung epithelial cells
    • The interaction between lung epithelial cells and CD4+ T cells
    • Development of allergic airways neutrophilic disease

    Who should attend:

    • Researchers interested in elucidating immune responses to inhaled microbes or allergens
    • Scientists using or who would like to use high-dimensional analysis for complex studies
    • Anyone interested in applications using spectral flow cytometry

Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
