2026 School Nurse Summer Institute

About the Event

The School Nurse Summer Institute is an immersive, multi-day event that brings school nurses together every other year. This year will include technical nursing skill sessions for children with complex medical needs such as gastrostomy tubes, central lines, catheterizations. Other learning opportunities will include nursing leadership, student mental health, emergency planning, immunization clinics, puberty, and more. Our goal is to increase understanding of current research and evidence-based practices in school nursing and to expand awareness of the resources available throughout the State of Maine.
