- The news article must be written by the student to demonstrate their reporting skills. The story should be no longer than 450 words and must include quotes from people the student has interviewed and a headline.
- The student’s personal statement should explain why the student believes they would be a good TFK Kid Reporter. The personal statement must be 50 words or less.

This is the entry form for the 2026—2027 TFK Kid Reporter Contest!
Parent or guardian, fill out this application on behalf of your child or student.
Your student or child’s application must be submitted by June 15. It should include a news article and personal statement, both written by the student. The student can also include a recent school photo (optional).
