8:00am - 10:00am Advanced Assessment and Treatment for the Throwing Athlete
Friday Oct 13 - Crystal Ballroom
Throwing injuries are an all too common occurrence in baseball and softball. Years of research has pointed towards over training, throwing mechanics, and poor preparation. This course focuses on assessment, rehabilitative treatments, and injury prevention strategies to reduce the risk of occurence in the throwing population. Course content will include biomechanical taping, lower quarter dynamic assessed through center of pressure and force plate data, and advanced systems to improve the overall operation of the segmental kinetic chains that contribute to ideal throwing mechanics.
